XFM is an independent commercial based radio station in Iraqi-Kurdistan primarily dedicated to providing music and entertainment in both Kurdish and English 24-hours per day. The station was first broadcasted on 11/11/2009 in Sulaymaniyah and has since managed to expand to Erbil, Kirkuk, Duhok and Mosul.
The shows broadcast on the station include the latest music hits as well as entertainment and talk shows. The shows are broadcasted with the goal of building a bridge between Western culture and Iraq via its shows and music aimed at the youth.
What separates XFM from other radio stations in the region is the unique style that it has used for broadcasting programs and advertising production. This has been the main attraction for this show along with the affects that it has managed to have on the youth of this region.
